On The Songahm Spirit of Taekwondo (# 4)

Another tenet of Songahm Taekwondo is loyalty, which can be defined as being faithful and supportive to someone or something. In our oath, we promise to be loyal to those who teach us. As with the other pillars of our discipline, this value applies both in the dojang, and in our daily lives. Consider that when we talk about being loyal to our instructors, an “instructor” may mean an ATA Certified Instructor, or it may mean a parent, a teacher, or even a peer who teaches us something we did not know. Those who give us knowledge deserve loyalty in return, for they have done us a great service.
